		From Cairns we travel North along one of Australia’s picturesque coastal roads.
		After the Highway diverts from the coast we cross large plantations of sugar cane.
		Between June and October, when the sugar cane is ready to be harvested, you can taste its sweetness by chewing the core of a piece of cane.
		The small town of Mossman is the economic centre of the Daintree region.
		These „Rain Trees“ in the middle of town are always an awesome sight.
		The branches of the Rain Trees are loaded with other plants growing on them.
		We turn off towards Mossman Gorge.
		On the way, the road is lined with tall Mango trees.
		Huge granite boulders cover the bed of Mossman River.
		Here you have a chance to go for a swim.
		On a circular walk we explore the typical features of coastal tropical rainforest.
		A creek in the rainforest.
		The indigenous people of the Kuku Yalanji tribe welcome you in their tribal area and share with you aspects of their old culture.
		On their interpretive walk you learn, amongst other things, how to build a shelter in the rainforest,...
		...or to turn the poisonous Black Beans into an edible delicacy ...
